AVG AntiVirus for Android
AVG AntiVirus has been protecting phones for over a decade, and the Android app is a solid all-in-one security suite. It scans apps, files, and settings in real time, blocks malicious websites before they load, and flags unsecure Wi-Fi networks before you connect — useful in cafés and malls. The interface is straightforward: a big scan button, clear results, no confusion about what was found or what to do next. The free version covers the essentials well — malware scanning, anti-theft phone tracking, a photo vault for private pictures, and an app lock. It also includes a junk cleaner and performance tools to keep older phones running smoothly. If you want established, set-and-forget protection from a known name, AVG is a safe pick.
